Not the droid you’re cooking for …

The Force was with a group of Sheboygan Central High School students who signed on to Project G.R.I.L.L. for the 2014-15 school year.

The team of students produced a lifesize R2-D2 grill that moves around via remote control and makes all the famous Star Wars franchise droid’s beeps, boops and bleeps. Their handiwork caught the attention of more than a few passersby Thursday morning, just a few days after the last “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer debuted.

“It’s ironic we brought this out today after the trailer came out this week,” said Wayne Hoffmann, a retired Howards Grove teacher who mentors students. “When all the students here made their way past, it got a lot of attention and pictures.”
